POSITION SUMMARY

 

Financial Partners Credit Union is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, strategic, innovative and experienced individual with a proven track record of success in learning & development leadership. As a member of the senior management team, the VP of Learning & Development will oversee, influence and lead strategic learning & development initiatives across the organization.  

In a fast paced, collaborative and innovative environment this individual will be responsible for the ongoing transformation of the learning & development function to ensure learning solutions evolve with the organization’s strategic goals and support the desired performance outcomes. This individual must have a strong business orientation. They must have the ability to translate organizational needs into integrated learning and development plans with a focus on promoting a culture of continuous learning that inspires increased performance levels supported by learning solutions with a deep focus on skill mastery, executional excellence and leadership development.  

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION

  • Strong leadership experience demonstrating the ability to effectively manage a team of L & D professionals that will design and deliver both in-person and technology driven training.  
  • Strong competency & knowledge related to multiple training modalities (in-person and virtual).  
  • Relationship building competency to develop strong partnerships with senior management and all levels of the organization.  
  • Experience managing systems designed to measure learning solution effectiveness.  
  • Excellent communication skills.  
  • Strong Project Management Skills 
  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5-10 years of experience leading learning and development professionals. 
  • Broad knowledge of, and practical experience with, credit union or other financial institution operating areas, functions, products and service and the laws and regulations with apply.  
  • Branch banking experience is preferred. 
  • Related professional certifications are a plus.
